I contacted a few places and almost went with a sight-unseen bid. AK, however, offered to meet, and was available within just a few hours of me initially reaching out, so I decided I shouldn’t be so lazy and I should definitely go and meet a guy off of Craigslist in an empty house.

Yall. He’s amazing! He texted when he was on the way. He showed up at the end of the day as fresh as a daisy and SO enthusiastic about the job. We looked at this that and the other and agreed he would send me pricing for two scopes of work. The price was almost too good to be true…I chose option All The Things. I was so excited to get this mess handled. But not as excited as he was - seriously.

AK texted reliably throughout the bid process and practically instantaneously responded to all my questions as we worked out some details. He never was annoyed when I added this or updated that. He texted morning-of updates on his way to the job. His crew was nice, and quick. I found more things as we went along that broadened the scope. Was that a problem? Nope, sure wasn’t. Anything I wanted or needed he was right there accommodating. It was next-level amazing.

These guys did in about 5 hours, maybe less, what it would have taken me, oh, I dunno, a month of Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, etc. to get done. Nothing was too heavy, too big, or too awful for them. Afterwards we walked the job and made sure everything was just so. AK even offered to take my yard bags of plant snippings and some extra stuff from the house. AND ALL WITH GENUINE KINDNESS AND THE BEST ATTITUDE.

I’ve worked with lots of places and lots of people on all kinds of projects. He’s the best, by far. He doesn’t slow down and doesn’t say no and can demo anything (cut in half bathtub anyone?) and make anything and everything magically disappear. If you don’t hire him, and tip him, and tip the crew too, you are missing out.
